Bride and Groom Morning Wedding Sessions

Bride and Groom Morning Wedding Sessions

The premiere production wedding team headed over to the groom’s house on a brisk October morning. The groom’s prep session is always the easiest part to film in a wedding day. It’s super easy for guys, no complications and no delays. We stick to the schedule and no one gets hurt. We schedule about 90 minutes for the groom’s preparation – from jeans to tux, to portrait sessions, to family session, to photos with the groomsmen. Yes we move fast, but we want to give the groom sometime as well to enjoy his groomsmen.

In fact, we often finish a few minutes early and enjoy spending some time with the groomsmen and have an espresso at the same time. Easy peasy.

Travelling to the bride’s home, we never know what to expect….but expect the unexpected. If there is going to be a delay, it will be at the bride’s preparation session. Of course we try and follow the schedule as close as possible, but there are things sometimes beyond our control….and that gets calculated into the schedule – to prepare for the unexpected. To be ready for unforeseen delays. We allocate from 90 to 120 minutes for the bride’s preparations, starting from the final moments of the makeup session. We grab some candid shots of the bride and bridesmaids as they prepare hair and makeup. We understand that this moment is sensitive and don’t want to add any stress… so we are very unobstructive, quiet and wait till the makeup is completed. We want to make sure that all the bridesmaids and bride are happy with the final results, and allow some time for any redos.

We want the bride to be stress and worry free as much as possible, and if there is delays with the makeup, we can recover quickly. In order to calmly take photos/videos and also give the bride some breaks for her to enjoy her guests, we would need at least 90 minutes. It may seem like a lot of time, but time passes very quickly. The makeup session (ending) and the bridesmaids in their gowns session takes at least 30 minutes and then we work with the Bride’s portrait , family and bridesmaids session. And in between all that, you have to factor in the Bride getting dressed and we want her to enjoy her family and guests too! Not to mention the exit of the house time as well.

Durning the scheduling session, and having filmed over 570 weddings, caution needs to be taken at the bride’s prep. As I tell all my brides, make sure everyone is on board with the scheduling. We at Premiere Productions, take the stress and worry away from you. We adjust our timetable accordingly and make sure we get all the photos/videos we need….and get you to the ceremony on time, sometimes a few minutes early. Loredana’s wedding was absolutely great. It was one of the very few weddings that there was no delays and everything went very smoothly. The schedule was planned and well executed. The bride was able to enjoy lots of time with guests and family, take some breaks and grab some food.

The morning prep sessions will set the tone for your wedding, and our goal is always to shield you from the stress. We want you to enjoy your wedding day as much as possible, and not always be in front of a camera. We make sure we get the shots we need and re-schedule if we don’t. The wedding days goes by so fast and we want to make sure you enjoy every minute of it.
